About the Authors
David Stillman, PhD, is the Executive Director of the Public-Private Alliance Foundation, which he and colleagues founded in 2006. Stillman was previously a career professional at the United Nations, where he focused on development policies and programs, including in the Economic and Social Council. He served with UNDP in Pakistan and earlier worked in health programs in Togo. |
Jeanne Betsock Stillman, MSPH, is secretary of the Board of the Public-Private Alliance Foundation and is president of Strategies for Development, Inc., a consulting firm. She is active in the United Nations Association of the USA and produces the video series Going Global with the UN. Her career in international public health included work in many sub-Saharan African countries, Pakistan, Tunisia and Haiti. |
Alexander Baldwin, a recent graduate with a MSc in Political Economy of Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, is currently a Program Manager at the Public-Private Alliance Foundation. He has worked for the State Department and several non-profits, and holds a BA from the University of Virginia in History and Economics. |
Robert Worth is a candidate for the Master of International Affairs at City College of New York. He is a Program Assistant with PPAF, working on the Haiti project and with PPAF’s involved with the Association for Youth Development, a Dominican and U.S. NGO. A native of the Gulf Coast, Bob holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Imnet Yebio, a native of New York City, graduated from Binghamton University in 2007 with a major in Political Science, a concentration in Global and International affairs and a minor in Spanish. She has worked for the United Nations Population Fund and volunteered with several international NGOs and hopes to someday attain a Master’s degree in International Development.
